- Description
The recently retired 3-time Olympic gold medalist shares his favorite action-sports photographs and family albums in this personally curated illustrated autobiography.
Shaun chronicles his evolution from his childhood in California into becoming the world’s best snowboarder and skateboarder, his travels to train and compete around the world, his appearances in fashion editorials and advertising, and his interest in music.
Some of the world’s best action-sports photographers capture White performing his extreme snowboarding and skating tricks around the world--from his groundbreaking aerial maneuvers such as his Double McTwist 1260 on Olympic half pipes, to his radical skating tricks such as his Frontside 540 Sky Hook at the X Games. White exceeded the imaginable limits of snowboarding and raised the bar for other snowboarding competitors to try to keep up with him.
Narrated by White with detailed commentary throughout, this book is an autobiography in images and an intimate glimpse into the life of a celebrity athlete: training, competing, on the road and in the spotlight.

In his prime days before the phone explosion. However, it was a time of creative photographs and separation of technology and the raw joy of snowboarding in a time of un-interruption being one with the energy of the elements. That energy was consumed and given back to the masses by 1 person. Shaun White. I never got an opportunity to live out my dream as a snowboarder but through him and his style I got to watch my version of Michael Jordan. Forever grateful and a fan and will support everything Whitespace is about from the beaches of Nags Head NC with the next generation of whitespacerz and get my 11 and 12 year old girls rocking his gear 100%. Big fan and best of luck to the brand. We salute and support u!
